Obama 08
Tuesday, November 4th, 2008Yeah!!! This morning I was standing in line more than an hour and a half to cast my vote. But it was not in vain!! I just heard confirmed that Obama will be the next president!
Having to wait in a long line is actually no surprise considering the fact that each person in San Francisco has to fill in three ballot papers. Federal, state (propositions 1 to 12) and county (city) (propositions A to V, and things like board of education) this together makes it a tough exercise to which you should not go unprepared.
One of the most important propositions in California, prop 8, which is to take away gay marriage is still undecided.
Yosemity!
Monday, October 13th, 2008Wow! Yosemity is so close!! Friday morning cycling to work I felt the air being nice and chilly, it felt good. This prompted me to really want to go to the outdoors. A little chat with kurt (a collegue) learned me that yosemity is actually really quite close.
And so it happened that I could make this picture Sunday! I met Suzanna on the campgrounds, and we hiked up to yosemity point together.
These rocks also just beg to be climbed.
